Multi-Room Audio/Video

A whole-house entertainment system controller allows homeowners to display and/or listen to various audio and video components such as: CD players, DVD players, CATV, iPods and other MP3 players, AM/FM receivers, and satellite receivers throughout the house. A multi-source/multi-zone controller amplifier is used to distribute and control up to six audio/video sources that can play in up to six different living areas in the home. This system combines the convenience of selecting audio/video for any or every room with the luxury of controlling your selections from virtually anywhere in the house.

The audio/video components for the system are stored in the Media Management Center (MMC). Volume control keypads located throughout the house allow homeowners to control volume and change audio sources. The following rooms are the most common areas of the home designated for whole-house audio: Kitchen, Dining Room, Family Room, Study, Deck, Master Bedroom, Master Bath, Guest Room and Basement.

Why buy separate satellite receivers for every TV in the house? Using the structured wiring backbone, AVS HD can distribute video from both satellite receivers and surveillance cameras. AVS HD 's video distribution systems allow homeowners to use a single audio and/or video receiver to distribute audio and video signals to all televisions and speakers in the house.
